Subtitling Strategies of English Indonesian Translation Applied in Toy Story 4 Movie

Subtitling strategies are needed to translate the subtitles of Toy Story 4 movie give information about story target language viewer. The research aimed identify subtitling and analyze which frequently occurred in Indonesian subtitle 4. data were taken directly from English text This study used a qualitative approach describe results analysis strategies. In gathering data, writer several steps. They watching, transcribing, identifying, classifying, reporting. After evaluating presented finding using method. collected transferred table analyzed descriptive this was 1337 data. procedure analyzing done by arranging side original dialogue versions table. findings strategy consist translation paraphrase (10.70%), transfer (44.05%), transcription (1.94%), dislocation (7.78%), imitation (21.02%), moreover condensation (5.98%), decimation (1.12%), addition, deletion (3,74%) resignation (3.66%).
